The Adventure of Writing

Have you ever tried to read a tablet covered in cuneiform characters? Why did the ancient Egyptians write in Hieroglyphics? Were the cave drawings of Stone Age man already a form of writing? Centres of culture which have long since disappeared have written down their history for us to read. As “writing explorers” we want to discover and understand different scripts.
This workshop is designed to compliment our new permament exhibition “The Adventure of Writing “ and is an interactive journey through 5,000 years of writing history.
