Disabled visitors
The museum is located in a preserved paper mill which was built during the ate Middle Ages and is therefore not able to fulfill the building requirements which a new building is subject to. Nevertheless almost all the rooms are accessble in a wheelchair.
The four levels of the museum are joined together by a sufficiently spacious lift (200x100 cm). Ramps already exist for most of the door steps between the rooms . Two toilets with wheelchair access are available for the use of disabled visitors. A wheelchair is available for the use of those visitors with mobility problems. Please ask for this at the ticket desk.
Every day seven co-workers are to be found at various points of work through out the museum. They will demonstrate the handicrafts to you and will answer your questions and support you in your own attempts. On Fridays from 14.00 to 17.00 a carer is available to accompany individual partialy sighted visitors on a guided tour (please reserve this service on (+41612259090).
